Our spiral notebooks are 6" x 8" in size and include 120 pages which are lined on both sides. The artwork is printed on the front cover which is made of thick paper stock, and the back cover is medium gray in color. The inside of the back cover includes a pocket for storing extra paper and pens.

This painting was inspired by the beautiful seaside views of Oregon. It has been painted on 'shikishi board' which is a board that has Xuan (rice) paper mounted on it. There is an elegant inner circle of Xuan color and textured paper. The small red artist seal/chop translates into 'Casey Shannon Studio'.
This image will grace the walls of any home or office. It will infuse the area with the spirit of nature and delight the eyes of all. This painting was inspired by the delicate spirit of the world that surrounds us. Ink and color were brushed on this paper with the intention of capturing essence.
Casey Shannon, BFA, MS I am a contemporary sumi-e painter reaching beyond the limits of traditional ink painting. My paintings one would not generally call traditional sumi-e. However, I adhere to the traditional sumi-e principles and philosophies, as well as, the traditional preparation before beginning a sumi-e painting. Sumi-e expresses the character and soul of the artist. As an artist, for me, Sumi-e (ink painting) is a meditation and a creative process. I concentrate on trying to capture spirit as the ink is transferred to the paper with the stroke of the brush. The brush is pushed across the surface of the paper quickly. If your intention is correct, the object in the picture seems to 'breathe and take on life'. This unseen yet...
